Untitled/Yes to the Body
To the right, we see a textile sonogram, containing sound of an air raid from WW2 which is read back by a camera on steel rail, producing sound on interaction using a speaker and custom software, and to the left there is a steel tower, a sonic robot, playing on tubular bells with hammers using Arduino. Both elements are synchronised, so when the viewer interacts with the rail and the sonogram at the end of the interaction the sonic sculpture will play a sequence on the tubular bells.
Steel, Arduino & DIY electronics, acrylic and cotton Jacquard knit, computer, camera, Custom C++ and Max/MSP software. April 2021.
