Esther Gatón

Adrenaline querubín
These ‘time machines’ become spaces for exception, for fantasy, a vortex to access a space other where everything may be possible. The site-specific intervention of Esther Gatón, in the style of a dysfunctional time machine, proposes a journey that starts with form – that surrounds us, insulates us, a ‘non-space’ – and transforms to speed. We navigate through an intuitive and kalei- doscopic formal process, waving between contention and journey. Gravity pumps and dissolves when entering the room. - Excerpt from a text written for this installation by Cristina Herráiz (Goldsmiths MFA Curating, 2019)
Site specific installation held at Intersticio London, 2020.
