Untitled (Stack)(2015)
I am driven by a fascination with materials that requires an intensive and exhaustive time spent building a rapport with materials and objects in my studio. The resulting sculptures created are therefore never locked into one compositional arrangement, maintaining a provisional or fugitive stance. The sculpture’s existence is questionable and functionality not straightforward. I have begun to view the colour pallet I am generally working with less as grey hues- initially extracted from working with metal- and more as a photographic tone, ready for an image.
